This is not just a Northeastern California issue. It affects waterfowl populations throughout the Pacific Flyway because LKNWR provides (when it has water) essential habitat at critical times in their life cycles.

CWA Presents – The Veteran Hunt Program

California Waterfowl is proud to offer exceptional hunts and other outdoor opportunities to servicemen and women through its Veteran Hunt Program. To date CWA has gotten over 3500 veterans out onto the marsh for hunts as well as chartered fishing trips!

LEADERSHIP QuoTES

jOHN cARLSON jr.

PRESIDENT

“ We are so thankful that our members rallied behind California Waterfowl during the very tough times of the pandemic by participating and bidding on our online auctions. These auctions during the pandemic and even now play a large role in the execution of our vision, which is a California with thriving waterfowl populations, vibrant wetland ecosystems and respected hunting communities.”

Scott Mueller

vp of fundraising & membership development

“ Our online auction was created during COVID and helped immensely to keep fundraising efforts strong when there were very few options available. Due to the popularity and success of these auctions we decided to continue and grow our efforts online to really enhance our donations and fundraising. The income from these auctions has assisted California Waterfowl’s programs, including our Veteran’s hunt program, education programs and efforts all over California”

MARK HENNELLY

Vice President OF ADVOCACY

“California Waterfowl plays an integral role in helping advocate on behalf of CA Outdoorsmen, we have lobbying representation in our state capital as well as our nation’s capital to always ensure that hunting and conservation priorities are top of mind to those dictating policy.”
